For the last decade, the talk in the FEC market centered on how to cater to millennials, but a new generation has emerged that operators need to pay a closer attention to — the 4-12 generation. According to IAAPA’s most recent benchmark report, 32% of FEC revenue comes from group sales, including birthday party packages, and the highest percentage of FEC guests coming from the under the 12 demographic.

This polling shows that this generation values their technology along with shared fun experiences. Therefore FECs need to focus on immersive games that encourage groups to play together and make use of technology, making birthday parties more valuable than ever
