Cannes, France, December 6, 2022: Following another record year, SPREE Interactive, a pioneer in delivering turn-key, multiplayer, free-roaming VR attractions to the location-based entertainment industry is proud to win the ‘People’s Choice Award Award’ at the MAPIC Awards 2022, gaining industry-wide recognition amongst fierce competition.
Adding to a long list of award wins and nominations this year, SPREE Interactive’s CEO, Jonathan Nowak Delgado, accepted the People’s Choice Award after competing against 60 other companies in the retail, leisure, and food industries. SPREE’s pitch gained industry acknowledgment, from a pool of experts, for offering family-friendly multiplayer VR experiences to venues of all sizes and tapping into the newest generation of kids, ‘Generation SPREE’.
SPREE Interactive’s non-violent family-friendly content attracts an overlooked demographic of 6 to 12-year-olds, allowing venues to offer high-throughput multiplayer VR experiences that draw in these new returning visitors and boost revenue.
The momentum gained during the start of 2022 has continued throughout the year, with a stream of award nominations and wins, which include the Blooloop Innovation Awards, VR expert Bob Cooney’s Bobble Award, and the prestigious Augmented World Expo Auggie Awards 2022 for the “Best in Location-Based Entertainment,” beating over 280 nominees.

For the third year in a row, SPREE has more than doubled its revenue while maintaining a positive EBITDA. SPREE is due to close its current fundraising round in Q1 of 2023, with the aim of further penetrating the global market and growing its revenue stream.
